Djurdjija N. Jelenković

Born on 21.06.1989. in Belgrade. At elementary School "1300 kaplara" was honored as valedectorian.

After graduating from High Ballet School Lujo Davičo in Belgrade successful solo performing eight classical and contemporary choreographies from 2006. to 2008. in all major public celebrations and the First Belgrade High School which has been also regularly attented from 2004.to 2008. along with the ballet school.

Work as the photograph and a member of the Center for the talents in photography. First prize for a classic photo.

Active engagement in music: at the music school Mokranjac for piano in 2006, for singing at the music school Stankovic in 2007. and singing at the music school Josip Marinkovic 2008. Participant Belgrade Madrigalisti choir and the church choir Lazarica in Belgrade. Participation in many concerts of classical music, singing solo as singing in choir. Worked with  professors from Academy for Music in Belgrade and with singers from National Theatre in Belgrade.

Educational work: Lessons of classical and contemporary ballet in dance school “Art of Dance” in Belgrade from March 2009 until January 2010. Held dance section for the students of the First Belgrade High School. Working with children from the Swedish and German gymnasium for the opening ceremony of dance section.

Teaching the techniques of classical and contemporary ballet as well as the choreography in the studio for yoga “Sa Nama Ste” in the center of Belgrade; practitioner of yoga since September 2012. The commitment to contemporary ballet with harder combining techniques creates the need to work on condition trainings (running, physical training) since February 2012. Participating in the program of running half-marathons.

Performing own choreography “Black AND Swan” at the First Belgrade Gymnasium in October 2014. for the occasion of the arrival of delegations from Russia for 70th anniversary of liberation from fascism.

Choreography and performance of given topic Water for an exhibition dedicated to the campaign “Rosa Water” in March 2015 in the gallery “G12hub gallery” in Belgrade.

June 2015: Participant of Seminar of critical practice in the field of Dance within 19th Festival ofchoreographic miniatures in Belgrade. Workshop participant with professor and choreographer at the Institute for Dance, Maciej Kuzminski. Participation in preparatory classes and the entrance examination for the Choreography at the Institute for Dance.

Admission to the Institute for Dance in Belgrade-July 2015.

Member of Association of Ballet artist of Serbia (UBUS) since July 2015.

In 2019, a Belgrade Dance Institute graduate Djurdjija Jelenković received a special Terpsichore Commendation as a prestigious recognition that is awarded annually to artists or cultural institutions in the field of artistic dance.

Since 2008, a regular student at the Physics Department of the Belgrade Faculty of Applied Physics and Informatics, and along with all of the activities above. Area of interest and the reason for attending is the musical and architectural Acoustics. MA from Applied Physics, Acoustic since September 2021.
