The 14th BOSIFEST – Film Festival of Persons with Disabilities, which takes place from October 16 to 18 at the Yugoslav Cinematheque, was officially opened today. The festival is held under the slogan "Under the surface", and the 14th BOSIFEST was officially opened by Tatjana Prijić, deputy commissioner for the protection of equality. At the opening, Djurdjija Jelenković's performance "Frequency of Caravaggio's Blood"

The festival was opened by the film Atomy directed by Logi Hilmarsson from Iceland, who is also a guest of this year's festival .
This year, over 100 films from all over the world were submitted. Selector Miroljub Stojanović, in a great competition, chose the 8 best films that you have the opportunity to watch during these 2 days. Eight films from all over the world, eight incredible stories about the strength and will of people with disabilities who do not agree to be defined on the basis of disability. By watching these films, you will learn that disability does not represent any obstacle to the power and beauty of one's humanity. Bossifest is not a festival for people with disabilities, it is a festival by people with disabilities for all film lovers, which will provide special moments for all visitors. said Darko Ivić.

Dragana Lazarević on behalf of the Ministry of Labour, Veterans and Social Affairs - sector for the protection of persons with disabilities, who said, One of the priorities of the Ministry of Labour, and above all The sector for the protection of persons with disabilities is the protection of the rights and advancement of persons with disabilities. The best way to achieve equal opportunities for all citizens is certainly the affirmation of the artistic potential of people with disabilities, as well as enabling access to cultural content. Based on the above, the Department for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities continuously supports the holding of BOSIFEST, a unique event with a tradition in the region Organizing an event of this type contributes to informing the general public about the rights, position and needs of people with disabilities, but also to the acceptance of differences and the breaking down of prejudices about them.

The author of the film ATOMI, Logi Hilmarsson, a guest of the festival, greeted the audience and introduced Brandur, the actor of the film, who came from Iceland., to be with us during the festival. Guests of the festival are also authors from the Russian Federation and Brazil.
The members of the Bosifest 2023 jury are: Marko Cvejić director and director, Tea Lukac.
The jury will award: Grand Prix for the best film, award for the best director, award for the best screenplay, as well as special awards.
BOSIFEST is organized by the Hendi Center Colosseum with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, the Secretariat for Culture, the Yugoslav Cinematheque, the Film Center of Serbia, Hotel Opera Garni INN Hotel, Crown Plaza and Copernicus Hotel Prague as and media sponsors like Blic and others.
